Simon turned one today, so over the weekend we had his first birthday party. Family came in from out of town, making it a very special day.

Simon was very excited about playing with the ribbons on some of the gifts. We actually had to put a few gifts up high, because he was trying to get into them before everyone got to the party.

The next day was Sunday and we had Simon's baby dedication at church. Simon was very good through most of it, but near the end while the pastor was praying Simon started grabbing at his microphone. He also started waving to everyone when we first got up there. You get a lot of action at a baby dedication when you wait until they almost one.
Lunch out with the family after church. First time Simon ate real food at a resturant.

Looks like lots of fun! I recognize the cupcake plate on the left from your shower. I'm glad you got a good chance to use it. :) My favorite picture is the 1st one of him in his birthday hat, but I love the family picture as well!
