Kris, Simon and I took our first overnight as a family up in Chicago to visit Aunt Kelly and Uncle Sean. We woke up to snow and slush, making it just a little too cold to go outside and look at Christmas decorations. The view of the snow was pretty enough.

Simon had his second round of shots the morning we arrived...so he slept really well on the drive up. The drive home involved quite a bit more crying than we would have preferred.
Simon loves getting held by Aunt Kelly.
Although it was cold, the whole trip was such a nice family get away.
